25th February In order to further improve our service we are now launching the takes-no-time, quick-and-easy Phoenix customer satisfaction survey. It's a simple one-page survey designed to be filled in by customers and our staff alike. If this all sounds too tempting and you would like the opportunity to give us an honest opinion of our cabling services then please contact the office or mail us and we will be happy to discuss this with you. All comments and answers will be dealt with in the strictest confidence, unless you would like your opinion to be made public. Please note that this can only apply to customers who have actually had installations completed by us Alternatively, please click here to download the survey. Once you have completed it (as much detail as you can) then click on File, Send To, Mail Recipient (as attachment) and put patrick@phoenixnetworks.co.uk in the To: box) PB.
5th January 2004 We're in the papers! Following our successful ISO 9001:2000 certification, and the official BSI presentation, the papers have printed an article in our honour. Below is an article from a local paper. The picture was taken by us on site and the words were only slightly altered from our original press release.
17th December 2003 Official Press Release on behalf of Phoenix Network Communications (press cuttings to follow) Phoenix Network Communications Ltd based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire has been one of the few network-cabling companies in the entire UK to be ISO 9001:2000 certified and given the coveted kite mark. Following months of preparation by the Quality Manager, Samantha Fretwell, who was in constant contact with BSI, the company was recently assessed by members of the British Standards Institution who deemed the company worthy of the registration.. The last twelve months has seen the company go from strength to strength, whilst similar organisations have run aground. The number of full time engineers has increased by almost 100% and this is also reflected in the numbers of newly employed office-based staff. This kite mark is proof of the company’s compliance to ISO 9001:2000 which governs the provision of our services, and indicates that working practices both in the head office and on site meet or are above the normal standards expected from customers and regulatory organisations. Martin Pearson, a Director and owner of the company commented that ‘…to have this kite mark is a clear representation that the engineers and staff of the company take both great pride in their work and now we are able to publicly enforce this with the ISO 9001:2000 certification. This certification will enable us to both reassure our existing customers and entice other organisations into inviting us to install or upgrade their structured cabling systems. Along with our registration under the CRB and CSCS schemes we can offer more assurances than is normally expected, which can only lead to more incoming work and continued growth of the company.’ When asked about the background work required to implement the whole process, the appointed ISO 9001:2000 quality manager, Samantha Fretwell said she was ‘…genuinely over the moon that, despite the relatively short period from start to finish, we had managed, as well as increasing our turnover almost every day, to portray our dedication and hard work and impress the BSI representatives.’ So, another feather in the cap for Phoenix Network Communications, and a clear sign that a company with such enthusiasm and professionalism can continue to thrive no matter what the market or competitors thrown in their direction. 11th December 2003 As of today it essentially becomes illegal for members of the EU to sent unsolicited, spam emails and text messages. Although the exact details of this ban are dependent on the situation, we will endeavour to restrict the flow of spam out of our company and hopefully halt the flow in.
In a nutshell we will do our utmost to prevent the spread of these irritating mails that continue to bombard our mail boxes on a daily basis. On a slightly humourous note, and intended primarily for the originators of spam, whether human or electronic we have no need, at all, now or in the distant future for the following products or services:

November 2003 This kite mark represents the management system governing the provision our our services being ISO 9001:2000 certified. BSI are comng to officially present Phoenix with the certification on 17th December. The local press will be there and we would encourage our customers to attend, although they are as equally busy as we are. Should you wish to express your interest in an Open Day then please contact us. October 2003 After waiting a short time since our evaluation BSI have issued us with the ISO 9001:2000 certification and the coveted kite mark. This certification offers an assurance to our customers the working practices of both the engineers and office staff are of sufficient standard. It goes without saying that these standards will be maintained on a day-to-day basis. In a time when Phoenix is growing, this is another feather in our professional cap. September 2003 We have recently been recommended for BSI certification to ISO 9001:2000. Following two visits by representatives of BSI they have assessed our business practices and put forward our company name to be ISO certified. This process is going to take a little time, but once we have the certification we will be altering the literature presented to potential and existing companies. The directors would like to thank all those people, both internally and externally, who have made this company into what it is and helped so much in maintaining our professional image and strong customer base. |
